• Sakina Darrell appointed to position of Director of Human Resources
• Darrell to create and execute HR plan and strategy for BAS
(Hamilton, Bermuda, July 10, 2016) – Bermuda Aviation Services Limited (the “Group” or “BAS”) today announces the appointment of Sakina Darrell as its first Director of Human Resources.
Ms Darrell brings more than 14 years of experience in the human resources (HR) field to the new role, where she is tasked with developing, directing and coordinating HR activities. As Director of Human Resources, Ms Darrell will create and execute an HR strategy to support BAS’s presence both in Bermuda and in its overseas branch offices. The position requires a focus on recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits administration, labour relations, training and employment services.

Her depth of experience in the human resources field, including performance management, policy development and understanding of Bermuda employment law, will help us to improve and grow our employee relations practices and policies.”
Previously, Ms Darrell was the Human Capital Manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she guided HR issues related to training and development, employment law, policy guidance and interpretation, performance coaching and development, and benefits administration. Additionally, Ms. Darrell has worked in the banking industry as an HR Relationship Manager with HSBC. Ms Darrell also has over four years of HR experience within the public sector.
In 2007, Ms Darrell earned a Professional in Human Resources Designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute (United States of America), preceded by a Bachelor of Arts degree (1998) and Masters of Science Degree obtained in 2002.
